The Patrick Chege Memorial Orphanage is located in Nakuru, Kenya. Like most of sub-Saharan Africa, Kenya has been ravaged by the HIV\AIDS epidemic. The 1.5 million children left orphaned feel the devastation of the disease most acutely. The Patrick Chege Memorial Orphanage attempts to shoulder a small portion of this burden by providing a welcoming home with good food and warm beds, friendly care-givers, medical care, and proper education for a number of Nakuru's children.

2008 was a difficult year due to Kenya's political unrest, but we are continuing to bring positive changes to the lives of our children thanks to your support. We are also proud to participate in ABC Home & Planet Foundation's inspiring holiday campaign, Gifts of Compassion, which provides a collective vehicle to support local and global organizations that are helping better the world we live in. Honor your loved ones with gifts that provide targeted services to heal our planet and its communities. The foundation features The Chege Orphanage under Creating Home/The Spirit of Family in the categories of Gifts of Compassion ($100) and Clusters of Compassion ($45).
We at Chege Orphanage wish you a Happy Holidays and hope that you will take this opportunity to continue your support through this very meaningful and memorable gift.
