The Patrick Chege Memorial Orphanage is located in Nakuru, Kenya. Like most of sub-Saharan Africa, Kenya has been ravaged by the HIV\AIDS epidemic. The 1.5 million children left orphaned feel the devastation of the disease most acutely. The Patrick Chege Memorial Orphanage attempts to shoulder a small portion of this burden by providing a welcoming home with good food and warm beds, friendly care-givers, medical care, and proper education for a number of Nakuru's children.

We are thrilled to have our friend, New Yorker Kyle Okimoto, running the New York City Marathon and raising money for the Chege Orphanage. While Kyle has run many marathons before, this is his first in support of the Orphanage. The money he earns will provide food, medicine, clothing and school tuition that our children need to grow and flourish. Our deepest gratitude goes to Kyle for his Herculean effort on our behalf.
